The Truth about our House

To be honest, this is the real reason we bought this house. We do love the house, but the property really made it a dream come true for us. This is our dock on our pond/lake. "Pond" by Tennessee standards, "Lake" by Arizona standards. You can see the trees just beginning to bud out in the bright green of early spring. I LOVE IT! SEASONS! This the view of our pond looking down towards the closest neighbors.

We have had a lot of rain the past few days and our dock is currently under water. These ducks are nearly always here. Sometimes they venture out to the creek in the front yard.

Another view of the lake and the early signs of spring.

The side yard, prarie grass, and resident white goose. He has an injured wing and is fed by the neighbors. Thay also have three peacocks that roam the neighborhood. Two boys, one girl. It is quite a sight to see them sitting on the rooftops. I will try to catch a picture of them, but I have yet to see them when I have the camera.

Nate with the neighbor after a sleep over. (Notice the serious bedhead.) This is the catch for the morning. You can find Nate outdoors roaming between the houses on either side of us. One boy lives at each, and the three are always finding something to do. Unfortunately school has slowed their adventures this week.

This tree is on the bank of the pond right out the doors of the master bedroom. It is quite a sign to wake up to!

There are clusters of daffodils blooming all around the yard. Some in flower beds, some in the grass, some on the far side of the pond.

The geese come and go on the pond. They are the loudest sound in the neighborhood. We thought Bullet would be after these guys, but they are bigger than him and he just ignores them.
This is what I have completed so far. These piles of boxes are my trial at the moment. The movers come this afternoon to haul them away. Hurray! Just thought I'd show the reality along with the fantasy of this pretty place!

Nate posing by the front door. No need for a security system. The papers and boxes makes it impossible to get in! Now it is time to get back to work. Jason and I have been invited to attend a black tie gala. We need to find clothes this week. It is next Friday night. I have no idea what to wear, where to shop, or what to expect. It is a weird life right now. Hanging out at the Tractor Supply, then looking for a gown to wear to the Peabody Hotel. We also had the prettiest sun-filled day yesterday. Blue skies and 75, today we have the potential for severe weather. It changes here so quickly. That is life I guess, but it has my head spinning at times.
