It has been two weeks since we left our home in Az and started this grand adventure. And although we are here and getting settled I am having a hard time feeling like we are not on a vacation. There have been so many new experiences and fun things happening. I'll start out by saying we are in our new home and all of our belongings have arrived, not quite as we shipped them, but that is to be expected I think. We are slowly making our way out of the card board and paper and starting to see a few things that we have missed and others that we could have left behind.
This weekend has been an adventure of new things. We went to the local farmers supply store and bought hundreds of fish for our lake. We did not know what to expect but it was not as we imagined. They loaded fifty or more fish in a hude plastic bags. We took many of these bags home and opened them out into the lake. Most were tiny babies that should be good to catch next year. The kids thought it was so cool, hundreds of fishes swimming in the back of my mini van. That poor van! We also got a few suprises in our bags. We got tadpoles as big as my hand and crawdads. Katie called them baby lobsters. We also had a bonfire. Jason needed to borrow a neighbors ride on mower to take care of our lawn. But before we could mow we had to move branches and limbs that were left scattered on the lawn. By the time we finished it was as high as my shoulder and about 6 feet by four feet. The kids loved watching it all. This has been so strange and I have moments where I feel not quite myself. But some things never change. The laundry is sky high and dishes have me name on them. I will post more of our adventures. Hope you are all well.

Hey there! Sorry I missed your call yesterday, I was taking an inactive sister to a legal appt in Phoenix... Eric's been off work for the last week and a half, so I've been going crazy with him home, but he's back to work today. Hooray!
ReplyDeleteHave you heard the buzz in AZ? Bishop Lambson announced from the pulpit that he's getting released next Sunday (the 29th) and we need to come to church prayerfully ready to sustain a new bishopric. Wow... huh??? So far no calls to our house, but no one will be safe until Sacrament starts on Sunday morning!
Hurray!! You started your blog! I'm excited to hear more...
